Ode to My Cat
Posted onOde to My Cat
(a playful love poem)
O Royal, how I love you!
When I first met you, I dropped you.
I hope you will forgive me.
I love you,
O, I love you, Royal!
My eyes turn into big red hearts when I remember
Your old kitten days.
When I touch your silky, luscious fur,
I really think you have to purr.

Smallmouth Bass
Posted onSmallmouth Bass
Female:
I lurk in the deep and shallow,
Calm and ragged.
I am a smallmouth bass.
My mate is the guardian.
He gets enraged and protective when the fry are hatching.
My egg’s high protein is precious to others
So my male stays behind.
I turn you to him.
Male:
I am the guardian,
boastful and proud,
Valiant and brave.
I protect the fry.
I don’t even eat while this is happening,
So I am very hungry.
I am the smallmouth bass.

(a thesaurus poem)
The itsy bitsy arachnid crawled up the water slide.
Down came the volley of liquid and washed the spider out!
Our came the flaring star and dried up all the torrent,
And the itsy bitsy arachnid went up the slide again.
